John is the 2009-2010 900.17.2 Head Coach
This is John’s 6th year coaching club, his 3rd with 900VB. John started out with 13’s and the following year returned as the head coach for the 15’s which took 3rd place or higher in 8 of 12 tournaments that season, finishing ranked #5 in North Texas and winning a bid to Invitationals.
The 2005 – 2006 season John played at the professional level in Europe at Markranstaedt. Also while overseas, he coached the boys’ indoor team TSV76 in Granau and their boys’ beach team in Halle. This brings us to 2008 where he has coached camps all the way from Texas to Indiana Tech. Now, he is ready for another great season of club ball, John brings smiles and excitement to the game and says, “I want to promote an atmosphere in which a student-athlete will develop positives memories and a positive purpose in life so as to manage yourself and your teammates to become excellent role models.”
While in the States, John competes at the Open level from local tournaments to USAV Adult Nationals where the top teams in the country and out of the country represent their regions to be called the best team in the States. John also played on the 900 Coed team that placed 4th at Adult Regionals in 2008 & 3rd in 2009 - where he was named to the All-Tournament Team!
When John is not playing or coaching volleyball the rest of his time is spent studying at Starbucks as he is a full-time Finance major at UTD and is the current Middle School Coach at Carrollton Christian Academy.
John was the 900 15 Mizuno Head Coach for the 2007-08 season & the 900.17.2 Head Coach for 2008-09.
He is also a private lesson & Team Camp instructor for 900VB.
