Jenny is the 900 16.2 Head Coach for the 2009-10 club season.
This is her 3rd year with 900VB.
Jenny graduated from Belton High School in Belton, TX in 2002 at the top of her class, Summa Cum Laude and with several academic commendations. Jenny played varsity volleyball for Belton (then, a 4A school) for 3 years and was awarded several honors which include:
* 1999-2000 season: team advanced to Area playoffs. Awards included: Academic All-district
* 2000-2001 season: starting setter, led team to Regional Semi-Finals (farthest in school history). Awards included: TSWA Honorable-mention All-state (as an individual), First-Team All-district, Academic All-district, Belton All-tournament team, Coaches Award
* 2001-2002 season: starting setter, led team to Regional Semi-Finals. Awards Included: First-Team All-district, Academic All-district, Offensive MVP, Second-Team Super Centex, Second Team All Centex, Belton High School Female Student Athlete of the Year
Jenny played for several club teams in the central Texas area including Heart of Texas Volleyball (Temple, TX), and Wave Volleyball (Waco, TX) where she was coached by Jason Tanaka who currently coaches for TCU. Jenny finished her club career with 2 season at Austin Metro Volleyball club (Austin, TX). As a senior, instead of playing, Jenny coached the 14 and under group for a new club team in Belton.
After high school, Jenny played volleyball at MIT, a NEWMAC NCAA Division III team. Jenny played in the DIII NCAA tournament her freshman year, but left the team the following year to pursue more advanced academic studies.
Jenny graduated from MIT in 2006 with a bachelors of science in biology and chemistry. After graduation, Jenny was awarded a fellowship for a Medical Scientist Training Program, a degree program that confers both an M.D. and a Ph.D, at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Jenny is in her 4th year of the program. She has completed 2 years of medical school and is also 2 years into her Ph.D. thesis research. Jenny will graduate in approximately 2013 as a medical doctor, and with a Ph.D. in cancer biology.
